Day 7 of #40to40: Get CREATIVE!

Problems don’t usually get solved (for long) by throwing cash at them. We talk about ‘growing the pie’ in #negotiation because, like in baking, the bigger the pie the bigger the slices of value for everyone to take home. So what can you put in the pie that won’t cost you much but still tasty to everyone?

If you think narrow in scope then it’s going to be hard to avoid fighting over a tiny pie. Get creative and complex and you’ll be able to feast with your counterpart.

Ask yourself, and the other party, “how can we get creative here?”
