Day 4 of my #40to40. Today’s #negotiation theme is PREPARATION!

Have you considered their perspective? Great. What else do you know about them? What about the current market conditions? How have they reacted in the past?

Just as important: what are the words that are going to come out of your mouth?? Don’t wait until you’re under stress to figure that out. It’s going to come out a jumbled mess. #Practice what you’re going to say in the mirror or, better yet, role play with someone. That’s what I spend so much time doing with my clients. Anticipate what they’re going to say and how you’re going to respond!

Think it’s silly? Think again. Set your brain up for success by getting it familiar with what it needs to do. Practice is another to access that pause button when you need it! I promise you’ll go in with way more #confidence and #credibility!
