40 to 40 series

Day 35 of #40to40 is about the KILLERS.

I’m talking about language. The killer statements and questions you often hear in #negotiation like “the best/max/lowest/highest…” Definitive language that draws a line in the sand to prevent you from going further.

When you hear this language #PAUSE and ask yourself “is this really the max?” and focus on ways to get them over the line (I teach these methods in my training).

Lastly, avoid using these words in your #negotiation because the second you go beyond that line you’ve killed your credibility and you’ve killed the other party’s #satisfaction. Ask any #parents who have gone beyond their stated limit. It’s a recipe for disaster.
