40 to 40 series
Day 31 of #40to40 is about #UNROUND NUMBERS
I’ve told you we’re predictable creatures and we tend to predictably cut figures in half, double them or round them to the easiest number. That can hurt our credibility and signal to the other party to push back (or at least you should if that’s what they’re doing). Using unround figures makes you less predictable and more credible. It makes their brains have to work harder to figure out their next move. It also gives the impression that lots of thought and analysis is behind that specific number thus the credibility gets a lot less pushback.
Ever consider where you’ve seen this in action?? If you want more of this type of content like, share and tell me in the comments. This 40to40 is almost over and I’m trying to decide what’s next! If you missed any of the series just search #40to40 and you’ll see them in my feed!
