Day 33 of #40to40 and today is about making a FLINCH!

Have a #reaction ready in your #negotiation! This is especially important if you’re in one of those short-term price focused negotiations but it’s also super helpful when you’re negotiating with #children 😉

We’re taught to be stoic, poker faced, show no emotion but if you look at someone deadpan after they’ve asked you for something ridiculous then it’s easy for them to assume that what they’re asking for is in the realm of possibility.

You can #communicate so much without even saying a word. A look of shock or surprise can go a long way so don’t hesitate to use that to your advantage. You may have to follow up with some verbal #communication as well. But say and do nothing and it’s going to be difficult to get them away from their extreme offer.
